Harmony Gelish Nail @ Nail Palace

I went to my nail salon for a manicure and pedicure appointment 2 days ago (13th Jan 2011) as I personally believe your hands tells alot about how well-groomed you are. However when I was there, I saw they have a new additional of polish to their collection: Harmony Gelish Nail Polish.

Some of you may have heard about CND (Creative Nail Design) Shellac Nails, this is very similar. I've always wanted to try it because of all the raves, so I hopped on the wagon. The clip below shows how the whole process was executed.

Looks really tedious right? No, not at all, it's all worth it. There is no required drying time as your gel polish is cured while it's in the UV system. Once you remove your manicured hand from the gadget, it's completely dried and high-shine, best of all, it's stays this way for 2 to 3 weeks. Imagine that you no longer need to wait for them to dry OR worry that you'll smudge one of them in the process Or dread to type too fast and furious OR avoid coming in contact with water to extend the "lifespan" of your expensive manicure OR hide your hands because of your discolored nails. You'll see beautiful flawless nails every morning when you wake up, how lovely.

This is my nails after my session at Nail Palace (AMK Hub). Since it's going to last for a long time, I decided to choose a color that will go with any attire and occasion. I went with Ambience, it's slightly sheer pink with fine silver shimmers.
This was taken on day 1
Close up
It super-duper glossy!
You can see Ambience is slightly sheer. Although I don't normally go for "sweet" colors, this is still acceptable.
My pedicure's done by conventional nail polish from OPI, my nail technician chose the color but did not tell me the name...
Overall, I'm very happy with the end product of the Harmony Gelish Nail Polish...and bought another package. Only issue I have is that I have to go back to get them help me remove it using soak-off. You can seriously damage your nails if you try to remove it by force, I was shown a real life example and I assure you, you will not want to save the trip. I'll also do a weekly update just to show you how this polish wears in time, hopefully it's some kind of help to you.

Since I'm posting this entry on nails, I might as well mention some interesting nail relate information just in case any of you are interested in Shellac (mentioned above) and Minx.

Watch! I found another interesting clip, watch!

Added update:

24 Jan 2011: 11 days since application. Still super shiny, not a single chip. However, my nails are growing out.
3 Feb 2011: 21 days after application. Still glossy and no chip at all! However due to my frequent washing of hands (Chinese New Year preparations), you can see my dried peeling cuticles & the grow-out was "screaming for attention". I had no choice of to "camouflage" it to tide over the holidays

Lol... I such a smartie sometimes. They look good enough for another week I guess.

Apart form learning how fast my nails really grow, I managed to improvise and have pretty cool result.
